Just wanted to let everyone know I ordered Lisa's notes from ebay yesterday and I got a note saying she cannot sell her notes at this time because Exelcesior is claiming they violate infringement rights or something like that. So I have ordered the notes from the Yahoo study guide hopefully I can get those. Maybe Lisa can get this worked out in the near future.

I emailed her to see what was going on -- she said EC had her eBay listings removed, but didn't give a reason and haven't responded to her emails. She said she'd be offering nursing material again shortly, followed by more general ed materials. I hope it works out for everyone ... not sure exactly what the deal is, but there's the info I have.

hey i ordered lisa's notes last week 2 different times and had no problem getting them from e-bay.. i ordered life span and dev. they are nice but she clearly states that some are her notes made by her so what is the problem?? have they taken them off ebay? i sure hope not.. yo-yo

I do not think she will have a problem, once she gets to the bottom of the problem.

In my former life I was a power seller on eBay and the VERO program they have in place is not very well put together.  Just about anyone with a grudge against you can have your listings removed by claiming you are infringing.

If she continues to have problems I will get in contact with her about selling them here so our members can continue to use them.

If anyone else contacts here ask her if she would come to this thread and let everyone know the status of the notes.(she is already a member)

I have contacted Lisa but have not heard back from her.

She is probably busy changing some things to get her notes back on eBay.

I checked a few of her listings and she has NC 5 notes back on eBay, the listing has changed.

The item title no longer says Exclesior College and she has added a disclaimer to the listing stating she is in no way affiliated with Excelsior College.

I believe the notes will be back on eBay very soon.

Hi everyone,  its Lisa  larends on ebay -

It is true Excelsior College used the VERO program to remove the majority of my listings - I feel the removal has more to do with Excelsior college's desire to have students purchase their expensive course work than their beleif that my works are infringements.

Excelsior college is well aware that I do not include their free content guides,  or other materials in my CDs - and I have a signature confirmation to verify it.  I had offered to send all of my CD study guides to EC for their review prior to their malicious removal of my CD's and in addition offere to remove any material they felt inappropriate or in violation of their policies/ copyright  however they chose not to do so.

I am free to list on ebay and to relist my items  but am waiting on advice from my lawyer before doing so.  I will be revamping and relsiting the items as soon as he gives me the OK, and plan on listing some new guides shortly.

I appreciate your support and business and would also appreciate input on areas you may see as infringing on Excelsior College - keeping in mind that EC does not own the concepts involved in nursing, microbiology pathophysiolgy etc. 

I won't beable to sell the guides on this forum, at this point, but would do if my lawyer advises me that I can continue selling the items.

I have Lisas A&P notes and they are great. Does anyone know anything about Minnay Educational Services or the istudysmart programs? do those 2 programs help or are they a waste of time..

I've used Lisa Arends and think they are great. They have saved my butt on all three exams I have taken. I would think that Minnay and the others would be facing the same issues as Lisa from EC. Luckily I have purchased the entire NC 1-7 CD from her. I appreciate her help. I hope she can get this worked out or maybe start her own website where she can offer her study guides directly instead of through E-Bay.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing -- there are bunches of sellers on eBay who advertise notes using the EC name, not to mention Minnay, whose entire site seems geared toward EC students. Weird.

The only thing I could figure is all the users talking about using her notes and passing the exams. Maybe they think her reviews or TTK are too close to the actual exam.

I passed Pathophysiology yesterday using Lisa's notes from E-Bay.  I also purchased the Pathophysiology from Minnay.  Minnay's was not useful for me, seemed more geared to medical school.  Lisa's notes helped me earn an "A" in Patho.
