Lisa Arends Notes are a MAJOR lifesaver. Cannot say enough about how helful they are. I personally would not take an exam without them They have saved me a world of time and are very inexpensive.I also use Studygroup 101 notes and between those two am good to go.

Hey Polly,
do you prefer Lisa Arends or Mystudygroup101? I got the mystudygroup101 for Transition to RN, but I didn't like it too much. I thought it would go right along with the Excelsior study guide. It seems to jump around. Maybe it's due to the curriculum change? I don't know, maybe I am just weird..

Dear Mandy,
YES...studygroup 101 does jump around alot! I found it somewhat confusing at times. Lisa Arends notes are VERY organized and well laid out. I have all of the EC recommended texts and use the notes as I read and Hilite what is necessary .Then I hand write out the notes that I think are important that I do not think were covered in Lisas notes.(I am one of those people that "writing" helps me remember) Lisas covers alot. She told me that alot of people JUST use her notes and NOTHING else. I am a little paranoid so I ordered the texts and read all of the EC stuff just to be safe. I also use Flashcard exchange!!! VERY good! I cover ALL of my bases as I do not have the money to FAIL anexam.
Hope this helps! Let me know...

I used only Lisa's notes and got mostly A's and some B's on the exams, they worked well for me because I have dyslexia, I could transfer them into a np3 format and listen on my ipod while I was reading along. I am a mother of a 2yo and one on the way, so the only time I could study is at night so the more tired I got, the harder it was to focus. They are well organized and very detailed. I am very great full for people like Lisa!
