I just passes A&P, wow it was really difficult. All I could think about was having to take this test over again. On to nursing classes!! I studied for two days and only used TCN book and pretest.

I study the entire module from start to finish. I am going with the college network for my classes until I need to register with excelsior. It was a very difficult test, there was nothing easy about it. There was a ton of questions regarding the kidneys and renal system, the area I am horrible at! I used the pretest questions at the end of the module as well. Just take the time a review and understand things.

No I am not! I started reading the module in September and finished in December. I was not very motivated to get going being I just graduated last spring with my LPN. I study hard for two days straight, front to back and reviewed the pretest (340 questions). I don't know how I did it but I passed. I did just finish school not too long ago so things were still fresh, maybe that helped. I was scared to death, no lie. I am now giving myself one month per class, I hope to be done by summer. I have a friend who just graduated from Excelsior, shes been a huge help too.

What did you use to study? You mentioned 300+ practice questions. Thanks! And you rock!

I am using TCN modules for school. To study I went over the pretest (340 questions) and followed along with the corresponding chapter in the module. That way I was literally able to review just about everything. Some people need more than that but it worked well for me. I think I had a little of an advanage, I just took A&P for my LPN not too long ago, that helped out too. I think the longer you sit and study and study and study the worse it can be. Either you know it or you don't. There is SO much information you know you are not going to know it all, not even MD's know all this stuff. Study as long as you need but I know that if I studied for weeks and weeks, I would start to loose track and forget stuff. Hope this helps!

Hi, I agree with you about the weeks and weeks of studying. I am at the crazy point. I have been reading several posts. You all have really been an encouragement to just "get ir done". I will try to test for micro over the next week or so and wrap it up. I will be onto ethics next. Has anyone done ethics?

Ethics was my first test! I took it 1/3/09. I got an A, but I did so poorly on those practice exams I thought for sure I was going to fail. Wikipedia is my new BEST FRIEND I tried to read the recommended books and either kept reading the same line over and over or I fell asleep! I just started looking the stuff up on the internet and studying that. I also got Lisa Arends notes off eBay. They helped too. Now, I am doing Intro to Music and again, got the books but haven't cracked them open... Still using Wikipedia Hope that helps.
