Hi, Congratulations TXnurse67! What suggestions could you offer in me completing my NC? What items did you use?

Thanks,
Yolie

Congradulations!  That's great!  Can you please tell me how long it took you to complete them? (in total?)

I took my first test in October 2006, and finished in june 2007, I would have finished sooner but I could not take any test in december or january because I am ADON in a nursing home and we were expecting state survey. so about 7 months total but all I had to take was the NC exams I already had all the basic courses.
I used lisa arends notes and college network books to study but I did not get them from company either borrow if you know someone or buy them off of ebay. I got them from a fellow co-worker then I am reselling on ebay

When do you plan on taking your CPNE?

I got my giant study guide for the CPNE today, omg, it is a huge amount of info, also got the skills bag with the wound. It actually made me laugh, I could have gotten 99% of the supplies from central supply at the home I work in for about 5.00, but the step by step book is really good so I guess I would recommend getting the bag to others. also the wound is realistic. I plan on taking CPNE as soon as possible they are saying 6-9 months. I am registered to take Lynn's workshop in september in Houston and then I will ask for a cancellation date. I can go anytime because my job is sending me to school so they know I might have to leave on very short notice. I would like to test in Nov/Dec at the latest but who knows.
