Honestly??? My strategy was to be totally petrified to step in for a year! Then I dove in head first with NC1 and tested a course about every 3 weeks thereafter.....tested NC1-NC7 (minus NC2), Human growth and Development and Info Literacy between mid July and mid November. Then applied for the CPNE (took me forever to get everything ready because I could not get immunization records or update my CPR until January). Applied for CPNE in January and took/passed in August. Basically, for each exam I studied the TCN module and learned all the questions/answers in the chapter quizes and test...took both the EC practice tests and then the real test. I took A&P and Micro while I waited for the CPNE. I took Lynn's Workshop in May to prepare for the CPNE.
Would you believe I now have all my TCN modules back? I kept giving them away and getting them back!!

I think I may sell them on eBay....now sure yet.
Hope that helps....If I had it to do again, I would only chang 2 things....
1) I would dive in a year earlier!
2) I would get my immunization records NOW so all I had to do later was to get the TB test! (and keep the CPR current!).
