Alright guys... I just passed NC7 with an A!  Been a while since I've posted on this forum but I wanted to give some of you a heads up on what was on the test.

- Know the people and what they did
- Know who developed what theories (self-care, adaptation, etc) and how these theories apply to nursing
- ANA and NLN
- The medicare system and how it pays the provider, plus the source of medicare's funding
- KNOW THE ROLE OF THE ADN, plus how it is different from other levels of nursing
- TAKE THE PRACTICE EXAMS! They really helped, as they usually do...
- Management styles including democratic, charismatic, transformational, transactional, etc.
- Types of nursing such as primary, functional, team, and the characteristics for each plus when each is better utilized
- The prospective payment system and DRG's
- Know the code for nurses and clinical nursing standards published by the ANA
- Critical pathways
- How to delegate orders
- The process of decision making
- What is the purpose of continuing education and licensure
- The chain of command when you have a problem on your unit (ie. go to nurse manager, then nursing supervisor, then DON, etc.)
- How sunset laws effect nursing
- Principles such as veracity, fidelity, beneficience, malfeasance, etc. and how they apply to nursing

Good luck everyone!
