My Mom still looks down the front of her shirt when someone asks us "How are you guys?".....I keep telling her she is a guy...just that her ba..s are a bit higher and larger than most. (at least I always thought she had more than the average guy!)
Moving to Texas was quite a culture shock but I wouldn't be anywhere else now!  Hope Alla Y'all feel the same way about your homes!

Being a military/civil service brat has made me highly adaptable. Smiley I don't have a hometown at all -- I've lived in Oregon (birthplace), Washington State, Italy, Germany, Maryland, and now Virginia. I think this is the longest I've stayed in one region. It's nice here! Our house is awesome, I love my job, my husband loves his job, and I think we're staying put for a while. Smiley If we move anywhere, we're eyeballing Colorado. My husband is a New Hampshire native, but considers Colorado to be "home." But that's 10 years down the road, if ever.

I have lived in this general area all of my 34 years.  I am ready for a change, though, and I am really considering travel nursing in a year or two.

This is a great thread!  I've been in Texas all my life.  I really don't long to live anywhere else, but would LOVE to travel!  I know that completing my RN will allow us to do more things.  I can't wait!  Wouldn't that be cool if we all met somewhere and hung out for a weekend?  Ah, most of you (yall) are going to the workshop...  Sad  I can't go..... Waaaaaah!  Sad

I was thinking we should hit Vegas in a couple of years, myself.  Grin Or somewhere tropical! With a beach and drinks with little umbrellas in 'em...

I have lived in Iowa...Missouri...Arkansas...Washington State...Arkansas again...Iowa again...and now Texas!   Found my hubby in Missouri...he had a heart transplant in Washington..and lost him nearly 12 years later in Arkansas.  Wouldn't do much of it differently!  Now a new adventure!   Smiley
