I attended Lynn's workshop last friday and saturday and just wanted everyone to know this was a very helpful workshop. I can't imagine going to CPNE without this. Lynn was very professional and helpful. Information given was consistant and useful. very down to earth and exactly what you need to pass. I recommend this workshop for anyone who wants to pass on first try.

Has anyone attended the Chancelor's Workshop in Indiana?  I am signed up.  They post a 92% pass rate on the first try, vs 64% of all who go through the CPNE.  It is 5 days and they are supposed to have a lab location with all of the equipment and a small class size.  It is 4 to 6 students.  I attended an Excelsior's workshop before my first attempt and failed.  I'm not blaming it on that.  I asked the instructor if they had statistics on the % of students who take the excelsior's workshop vs those who don't take one.  She said they weren't keeping those stats.  There were 18 students and 2 instructors.  They didn't have enough stations (equipment) so some of us had to sit out some of the time.

I am just curious for some feedback.  Thanks.

Bonnie, I would be interested in finding out more about your workshop with Chancellors.  Where is it located and how much is it? Is it for 5 days? Would also like feed back after you get back.

Thanks,
Debbie

Lynn's workshop is 380.00 unless you go to her charity one's and they are 250.00 I believe. They are held in NC. I would find a way to attend a workshop I have no idea how you could pass without taking one just to get the small things that are expected. they book ec does is just to much. If you would like more info IM me and I will be glad to give any info I can.

I'm new... I went to EC CPNE workshop last spring. 28 students. 2 instructors. Too chatty, not enough supplies to practice, some students had never counted drips before etc...I found myself kinda mad they weren't screened better. I did not go to teach! Instructors inconsistent with study guide and what they thought you should do during CPNE. Instructors appeared bored and irritated depending on who asked questions...SAVE your money don't go.
I failed Plano August 2007. I failed during my PCS's... still really confused about some of that. They did not stop me,,,just let me keep going until the examiner said I should step out for an error 40 minutes earlier! Also The examiners are not held to the rules in the study guide about what the examiner will and will not do.
Is Lynn's workshop good? I really don't want to learn skills or learn why I am writing a care plan. I need the PCS organizational info!

Lynn's workshop is full of care plan info but also how to organize the pcs, such as if you have 4 selected areas which to do first and why. lots of interactions with students, class was large in houston and we did very little actual lab practice but the info was really good. the video for the skills was exact and very well done.

Where did they hold the Houston workshop?  I would like to into her next one there if I can.  Corporate workshops are always right by the airport and easy in and out.
