New eBay seller?
«
on:
August 29, 2007, 06:04:54 PM »
I get emails from eBay based on search criteria, and noticed a new EC-related seller today:
http://stores.ebay.com/ezstudytools
It doesn't look like anyone has bought any EC-related material from them yet, so I wrote and asked a bunch of questions about their materials -- who is the author of the software, how closely does it cover the EC study guide outline, will I get updated content if I order it after Oct. 1 when the new study guide comes out, etc. I'm a little skeptical because their description is pretty vague. I'll let you know what I hear.

I also contacted them offering a review on this site, if they are willing to share an evaluation copy with me and allow me to send it to one of you.
I would expect something good for the price they are asking, but who knows.
Anyway I will let you know if I hear anything from them.

check out the link below. It appears this is from Harris Educational Media and anyone can sell there sofware online as an affilliate. I did a search for ezstudytools and located this link. The link is for NC3 but they have all the other. I am curious if this is the exact same software being sold on ebay as the price is considerably different.

I think that has to be it ... big price difference, though! Weird. I haven't heard back from them yet, but we'll see.

I saw yesterday where someone is selling CPNE experiences. And Those are on the EC website for FREE!!!! I dont understand why EC students would not know that. But the person on ebay is making tons of money from those. Save your money people. Its free on Excelsiors website.

The one listed at payloadz.com is not shipped. It is an instant download. The one on eBay is sent via mail.... probably not the same one.

It is possible to make copies of material, I downloaded my LPN nclex review with my cd on the family computer, lost the cd, wanted to study on my laptop, burned a copy on a cd from the family computer to install on my laptop. My burn program asked how many copies did I want to make. I did not have the original cd, it was on the computer. So it could be possible that it is the same program.

Here's the reply I got, and it actually sounds pretty good, I have to say ...
Hello Lisa, thank you for your interest in our products.
This software is published by Jemicorp Medical Software LLC. The software follows the excelsior content guide, referencing the recommended textbooks for each module. Rationales include references to the chapter name and section name of the textbook from which the information came from. This allows the students to use an older version of the textbook, saving them money in the long run. It is a comprehensive preparation package, covering all areas of the recommended content guide.
Our software perpetually updates. On the main menu there is a button to press to update questions and tutorials. This allows a fresh download of data from our server network, ensuring that you have the latest information in your software. The practice exams will run while you are not connected to the internet, but the tutorials do require internet access in order to provide a multimedia experience. These updates are available for up to one year after the purchase date.
Included with the software is a one year membership in an online review course. Embedded in the course is live chat, forums, additional practice exam opportunities, a community calendar, and product announcements.
Hmmm.

It does sound good!!! But I like the price of $29.95(or whatever it was) from payloadz instead of $75 from ebay.
go to:
http://www.jemicorp.com/2007/08/
It states:
Places We Sell
Jemicorp on Blujay
Jemicorp on ECrater
Jemicorp on Google
Jemicorp on Shopify
Payloadz Instant Downloads
It does sound like a wonderful study tool. But cheaper to buy thru payloadz directly. I am going to check it out though, buy 1. Will let you know how it goes.

That first one on payloadz is a different author, I think. The eBay one does sound like a good deal ... let us know what you think!

Did you go to the jemicorp website? I used their link to go to different sites where you can purchase their product and they only list a few software programs for EMS, Flight Nurse and a few nursing exam reviews. I guess I am just being a little paranoid after being burned by some study materials I have purchased online. The ebay one sounds really good.

Yeah, I looked and didn't see any of the Nursing Concepts anywhere, except for with that eBay seller. I'm tempted to buy the NC5 one myself ... hmmmm. I'll have to think about it and see how I do with the practice tests when I get to that point (probably in the next two weeks).

I contacted the website because it is not longer listed. Here is their reply:
Hello,The book was on sale in the store but now its not available as this decision lies with the seller we only provide a platform to buy & sell the digital goods.
Thanks,PayLoadz Support Teamhelp@payloadz.comhttp://www.payloadz.com/help
So, I am guessing, I missed out on a cheaper price, but am still going to go forward and buy one from the seller on ebay

I ordered the NC3 software from the ebay seller. It was hard to pay the price not knowing if it was anygood or anything. They said the disks were in the mail. Also, they emailed me and wanted to know more about my background so they could assign me a "mentor". I guess that is for the online portion. Wonder if there are additonal charges or add-on sections after you get the original software. I am supposed to have it in my hands by tuesday or wednesday next week. I will let you know as soon as possible.
