I completed the ASN RN degree in 2005, and have decided to start the RN to MSN program next month. Anyone else working on their higher degree through EC?

I'm still working on the RN part of it, but I'm planning on continuing through EC ... how much more extensive is the RN to MSN as compared to the RN to BSN? Is it much more expensive?

Hey, Lisa!  Have you checked out the costs of either of these programs?  I feel like I must be crazy to be thinking of more classes, but, why not?? My employer reimburses me 80%, so I think I will go for it.

I haven't checked yet ... I didn't want to put the cart before the horse, so to speak.  Grin From what an EC rep was telling my coworkers at a recent ENA conference, you save 11 credits by doing the RN-MSN instead of the RN-BSN. I'm not sure how that works, but I'll definitely be looking into it when I'm done with this stuff. Smiley

I'm trying to decide on a Workshop for the CPNE...I've seen it posted that Lynn has a 92% pass rate for her workshop...also seems that Tina in CA has a highly recommended workshop too.  I would really appreciate input from people who have attended either one!

Thanks- Morgan

I am still working on the RN part of it, but the difference that EC has explained to me r/t the ASN and the BSN/MSN programs are that the are not self paced. It is still online, but 15wk courses. If I remember correctly, they said something like 3-4 yrs for RN-MSN.

I heard it was about 2 years to go from ASN to MSN...best to contact EC and ask, though.......

What part of Spain?  I just got back from there.

hello,

I am new to this site, so this may be a crazy question.

Can you apply to any AS-RN to BS-RN program once you recieve your AS-RN degree from EC. I am wondering because i am from florida, and florida do not accept EC (unless you r a LPN), so i was thinking of receiving my AS from EC and then getting my BS from an accredited school in florida.

Thanks
