I am currently taking the nursing classes through Excelsior and I have been hearing alot of rumors...such as, alot of employers won't hire 'excelsior rns', and it is harder to get a job if you earned your degree through excelsior.  Anyone know if there is any truth to these rumors? Thanks

Didn't have a problem. I don't know anyone who hasn't been able to find work because they're an EC graduate, actually ... right now it's tough out there for ALL new grads, though. But sure, there are some people who don't understand EC's program and think "online nurse = sketchy." You might have to be prepared to do a little educating. Wink

Employers here just check the State BNE site to be sure you are current...they don't care where you schooled as long as you can pass the Board for the state....they trust the BNE to make sure you have the knowledge.  I live in Texas.
