First time writer on this board: I've been visiting a bunch and really appreciate the advice and quality of discussion here. I thought I would share my conversation with a helpful advisor I spoke with at EC today.  We spoke about the upcoming changes that will take place after Oct 1st.
I'm not giving an opinion: Just passing on what she said.
1. the nc3 exam is going to be divided into 2 exams because the exam they currently use is huge and too much for one exam. so thats the extra nursing exam.
2. the online cpne testing.  this is simply to prepare people better for the actual test.  so when one takes the real thing, you have done a
"practice test online"
3.  the cost changes( i'm not so sure about this info cause I didn't write it down) but she was saying the increase in cost won't be that different and the program in fact will be improved.
so thats some information from ec admissions.
best, suzanne

After studying for NC3 for the last few weeks, I have to agree!  Grin

The "online CPNE testing" -- is that the three-part clinical competency assessment that they referenced in the letter on the EC website? It didn't say anything in the letter about it being online, so I'm just checking.

(It's a moot point for me because I'm already enrolled. LOL)

My understanding is the test is taken at a regular testing center, on computer.  Once you pass this you then take the actual live test.  suzanne
